Hi loves! I am finally back from California and then Chicago on all my exciting adventures..back to reality! With school back in session..I think everyone is starting to get back into a routine which means I will be back to posting much more consistently! Be ready to see a lot of me and I hope to see a reminder of all your pretty faces by liking and commenting! Today, for What I Wore Wednesday and National Dog day..I am sharing some outfits I wore out shopping with my dog in California! I must say, one of my favorite things about California was how dog friendly they are! You can take your dogs anywhere & everywhere with you. I sure know Lilly went everywhere with us and gosh did she adore every minute of it! She went to restaurants, stores, colleges, even to the movies! I know she is experiencing depression being back home and not being able to go to half as many places! While summer may be over in most of our minds..it is still hot outside and summer clothes are still very acceptable! I hope these outfits below will give you some inspiration for any day-to-day activities whether they be shopping, going out with friends, or if you’re getting away for labor day..these will help make sure you stay cool, cute, and comfortable!
Shopping on Melrose with Lilly:
First of all..if you are ever in the West Hollywood area I highly recommend walking up and down Melrose to find some of the coolest, most unique shops! Some of my favorites include, Fred Segal, DASH, Nasty Gal, Joie, Marc Jacobs, Theory, Alice + Olivia, Wasteland (great consignment shop to find some steals if you’re willing to hunt for them!), & many more!
Tank: J.Crew
I love this tank top for absolutely anything. I throw it on over a bandeau with cute bottoms to go out casually, over a swim suit as a cover-up, or even over a sports bra to run around in when I’m in workout clothes & sneakers!
Bandeau: Nordstrom
Shorts: Sold out on Garage, but buy it in a skirt here or pants here, here, and here and similar here!
Some of my favorites at a great price..I love the fun, bright colors & best of all, they feel like pajamas!
Shoes: Stuart Weitzman
I adore these unique sandals to make a statement with any outfit I am wearing and to “jazz up” my casual pieces!
Hat: Janessa Leone
Definitely my go-to on any bad hair day or when an outfit just needs some extra pizzaz! Janessa Leone makes some FABULOUS hats every season so make sure to check them out!
Sunglasses: Céline, shop them here, here, or here
Necklace: Old but similar here, here, and here
Shopping with Lilly at the Grove:
Another great place to visit in West Hollywood has to be the Grove..I love the grove because it is a huge outdoor shopping plaza with a big field in the middle for concerts or picnics aligned with shops and kiosks selling the coolest things (My great find was I bought my new favorite “Beverly Hills” phone case at one of the kiosks!). Some of my favorite shops include Nordstrom, Barneys, Dylan’s Candy Bar, Gap, Banana Republic, J.Crew, Nike, Topshop, Zara, and so many more. The Grove is also home to other cool things like a movie theater, restaurants, and even a Farmer’s Market!
Top: Madewell
I love the cut and color of this top to make it unique. I pair it with all sorts of fun jewelry and either shorts or jeans for a casual, cool outfit!
Shorts: Genetic
Shoes: Birkenstocks
Okay what everyone says about Birkenstocks is totally true..they are really so comfortable. The first day I was unsure of this statement but already by the second time I wore them I could feel them breaking in..now after wearing them many times, my feet are completely molded and honestly, they feel like clouds I can’t get enough of them!
Sunglasses: RetroSuperFuture
Necklace: Old but love these here, here, here, here, and here
Purse: Sold out from Nasty Gal, but similar here, here, here, here, and here
Hope you all enjoyed and are able to get some outfit inspo from mine above! Make sure to spend some time with your dog today whether it be shopping, going for a walk, or maybe even just watching a movie! Until next time..
