I’M BACKK! I feel like it’s been forever since I last posted and I feel horrible ! My site has been under a bit of construction which has prevented me from posting, but follow along on Instagram so you don’t miss a beat !
Last week was for sure one of my favorite weeks all year, New York Fashion Week ! DUH! While I was only able to stay for three days this year, I still had the best time and was able to attend so much ! By the end of each day, I was absolutely exhausted but it was so worth it.
Some of the events I attended was a fitting with Rent the Runway who provided some fabulous clothes to wear all weekend; I went to a Baublebar showroom to see some fabulous new pieces to come to the blog soon; Sam Edelman’s show, which was amazing-I had the opportunity to meet Sam, Libby, and they all could not have been nicer; a rewardStyle party; and so much more !
While there were many events I missed due to having such a short trip, I had the best time and was able to make it back to USC in time for the Stanford football game ! So I guess it wasn’t all bad that I had to leave early..right?!
Back to fashion week though..check out my outfits, shop my looks, and read some commentary on events and New York below !

This outfit I wore for some shows, shopping, to lunch at one of my favorite restaurants, ABC Kitchen, a Rent the Runway the Baublebar showroom, a fashion shoot in the flatiron district, the Sam Edelman show, and then dinner with an old friend at the Butcher’s Daughter-I know, it was such a busy day but so fun. I got so many compliments on this outfit and honestly loved wearing it ! It was so comfortable, it made such a statement (which is exactly what you want for fashion week), and it was appropriate for every event I went to.

The second day I went to some shows and then the rewardStyle party. I was so excited to visit the NYC LiketoKnow.it heart wall ! If you find yourself in New York before October 7th..make sure you stop by and snap a pic !
This outfit was sponsored by Rent the Runway and I adore it ! This dress was figure flattering, cute, fun, and I loved being able to dress it either up or down ! Plus..these shoes always make a serious statement. Everyone thinks they are from Stella McCartney but really they were so affordable and from Zaful ! Highly recommend.

Finally, I wore a Equipment dress from Rent the Runway for some shows at night ! Since I was so tired, this dress was the perfect piece to throw on and run around.
Other Than Fashion in New York..
Obviously I went to SoulCycle in the mornings (duh)..and I cannot tell you how excited I was. While I do go to SoulCycle very regularly in LA, New York is without a question the original and cannot be beat. From the instructors, the amount of classes per day, the amount of locations, the energy..it is unbeatable. I swear I can’t walk 10 feet in New York without being reminded of SoulCycle, whether it be someone wearing the apparel, I see a studio, or I hear someone talking about it, SoulCycle is practically apart of the culture there. For the first day, I went to my favorite instructor Akin’s class and was honestly so lucky to get in. If you ever go to New York, I highly recommend taking his class, but make sure you sign up monday at noon! Like literally set an alarm because by 12:01 the bikes are gone. If you can’t get into Akin’s class though, go to his little brother’s class because it is honestly just as good. They are both so similar, high energy, and hard. {read more about why I love SoulCycle here..}
In the end, I had the best trip ever ! I always love NYC and can’t wait to visit again.

What a whirlwind trip you had to NYC! So amazing that you got to experience so many things in such a short time. I love the outfits you picked from Rent the Runway and the shoes from Sam Edelman. The lace dress is too cute with the sneakers too. How fun that you made it back to USC for the game! We watched it from Europe. Xoxo, Christine

I understand how hectic fashion weeks can be as they truly are jam packed with shows and events and especially if you have to narrow it down to 3 days it gets even crazier, but the key is to do the things you’d enjoy doing really and it seems you achieved just that, the right balance that is. π
