I adore Palm Beach…As my grandparents have always had a place here growing up, I have been going to Palm Beach for as long as I can remember. While I still have many cities to visit in Florida..This is by far my favorite I have been to so far. This year I was lucky enough that my grandparents kidnapped me for a week to celebrate my 17th birthday. Oh how nice it was to take a step back, relax, and enjoy myself after the stressful holidays. Below I am sharing my favorite places we went to eat, sweat, and of course-shop!
Shop:
To go to Palm Beach and not visit Worth Avenue is absolutely a crime…If you were only to visit one location while in Palm Beach, I highly suggest this be the one. This is one of the most iconic, beautiful streets for shopping in the world-including some of my favorites, Saks Fifth Avenue, Nemain Marcus, Calypso St. Barth, Intermix, and of course many more!
Definitely a mall worth checking out if you have the time or have a rainy day! Places I always make sure to hit are Bloomingdales, Nordstrom, (another) Saks Fifth Avenue, Lululemon, Stuart Weitzman, Sephora, J. Crew, Athleta, crewcuts, Tory Burch, Lilly Pulitzer (she did start in Palm Beach after all!), Vineyard Vines, and there’s even a Sam Edelman coming soon!
Unfortunately on this trip I was unable to make it for a visit even though I was DYING to…I never found myself in the area. Circe is one of my absolute favorite boutiques from Louisville that just recently opened a location in Delray Beach that I’m sure is just as fabulous!
This preppy boutique is another iconic location to make sure you hit while in Palm Beach! Started by three sisters in 1985, C. Oricco was one of Lilly Pulitzer‘s original flagship stores when Lilly relaunched in the 90’s. With lines like Shoshanna, Tibi, Trina Turk, Nanette Lepore, and Milly, as well as Sulu‘s intricately embroidered and beaded khurtas, myriad quippy Ts, Navaho sandals and flip flops, not to mention the various other small designers who the three sisters uncover from surf shows, designer dens and apparel marts around the country, this is a one-stop haven for a life of play!
This mall is another great spot to hit encompassing many stores seen on both Worth Avenue as well as the Palm Beach Gardens mall. Some of my favorites here include Intermix, Bloomingdales, Cartier, J. Crew, Express, Lululemon, Louis Vuitton, Nemain Marcus, Nordstrom, Pacsun, Saks Fifth Avenue, Sephora, Steve Madden, Vince, and Vineyard Vines. This is definitely a spot to hit if you are looking for more inventory or if you are close to the Boca area!
Eat:
This Italian Cafe is perfect for absolutely anytime of the day as they serve Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner as well as lowering a disco ball and clearing out the tables for nightlife after 10pm! While I have only had dinner here…the food is amazing and the atmosphere is even better. With a wide variety of seafood, pastas, salads, flatbreads, and even a kids menu, there is something for anyone here. The restaurant is half-open to the outside with beautiful plants and twinkly lights to add to the Palm Beach scene. Walk to Sprinkles Ice Cream afterwards to for a sweet treat!
Taboo is one of my absolute favorites! I love coming here for lunch while shopping along Worth Avenue, Sunday Brunch, or for a nice dinner. With a wide variety menu, this vintage bar has an option for anyone on the Continental-American menu. For lunch on this trip I ordered the Wellness Salad with Grilled Chicken, but in the past have absolutely adored the Black Bean Benedict for Sunday Brunch or the Sea Bass at dinner! This is a definite must to go-to while in town. To sit in the front of the restaurant, which is half-open to the heart of Worth Avenue-you may have to wait a while or get there pretty early as it is first-come, first-serve and widely popular. However with a few of Intermix, Cartier, Valentino, and some other prime locations on Worth Avenue-it is definitely worth the wait. Reservations are recommended to sit anywhere else in the restaurant though so you can walk in to enjoy your food and the beautiful restaurant with no wait and get back to your shopping asap!
Okay guys…this is honestly Palm Beach’s best kept secret. This restaurant is one of my favorites of all time and one I go to multiple times whenever I visit Palm Beach. Located in Juno Beach, they honestly have the best seafood I have ever had. Their food is so fresh, they catch it themselves locally just before serving. Reservations are not accepted so you are guaranteed a pretty decent wait with it’s popularity but if you arrive early enough you may get lucky! Fortunately however, they do have a waiting room for all their costumers to enjoy drinks and sit comfortably before dining to make the wait seem a little shorter!
The Breakers Palm Beach Seafood Bar:
How could you go to Palm Beach and not visit the Breakers? This iconic hotel is an amazing place-even if you are just going to enjoy a drink or appetizers. When visiting, we love going to The Seafood Bar for drinks, lunch, brunch, or appetizers. The bar itself is a tank of beautiful fish, coral, and other decorative sea features while the entire wall is a window overlooking the Atlantic. We went on my birthday-which was a very rainy day-and it was quite a site to watch the crashing ocean against the waves. For lunch, I ordered the fish tacos and adored them, the guacamole, beans, and mango salsa were absolutely delicious with their perfectly grilled mahi!
A part of the famous Hillstone Restaurant group, this iconic restaurant is an amazing place to enjoy dinner at absolutely any age. This up-scale restaurant has an elegant atmosphere with a menu of delicious classics including their famous Dover Sole, the PBG Cheeseburger, or a selection of USDA Prime steaks. Reservations are highly recommended & make a reservation in advance as it is quite difficult to get in!
Calling all Juice lovers!! I absolutely love juice and smoothie bars and was so excited to find this one!! With locations being located directly next to both Orange Theory and Flywheel-this is the perfect place to grab a post workout smoothie, juice, or even an acai bowl. If you haven’t yet tried an acai bowl-I highly recommend it as I always am beaming with excitement when I find somewhere containing them on the menu!
If you’re looking for a up-scale, French dinner…this is your place. Located in the Brazilian Court Hotel and owned by Daniel Boulud, the owner of many other up-scale, famous restaurants around the globe-this place could not more iconic. The stunning restaurant is a great place to enjoy an intimate, nice dinner with a menu containing signature Boulud dishes and French favorites inspired by Daniel’s restaurants around the world, with a spotlight on the region’s incredible seafood and produce.
Sweat:
I guess you could say I soon became obsessed…This spin/barre studio was definitely a highlight of my trip I would highly recommend for anyone who loves working out as much as I do. Being about a 20 minute drive from where I was staying, I almost did not get a chance to try it but once I did..I was hooked. On my third day I decided I would set my alarm a little earlier and make the drive-that convinced me to go everyday after. This 45 minute spin class was an incredible workout led by inspiring instructors, and surrounded by other enthusiastic, motivating clients. What I loved about this class is you have a resistance knob along with a torque number allowing everyone to have the same bike resistance, unlike many other spin studios. Throughout the class, the instructor would call out a range of about 5 “torques” so you could ride based on your comfort level, but still keeping everyone on the same rhythm. Another aspect I absolutely adored about this studio is they additionally had a barre class I tried one day. This barre class was a very low-impact, fast paced toning class set to upbeat music to sculpt your entire body creating long, lean muscles. After I took this class I was so sore in the best kind of way.
If spinning and barre are not for you…Across the street from my hotel and located all across Florida are Orange Theory’s! While I am more of a spin class addict, I adore the Orange Theory workout as I attend occasionally in Louisville. This workout encompassing running, rowing, TRX, and weights works your entire body to develop both strength, and cardiovascular endurance. Like Flywheel, the atmosphere and energy from all the clients as well as the amazing, young instructors made for a great morning sweat!
