If you all follow along on social media, I am sure you all already know I just returned from New York and had the amazing opportunity to spend 3 days with Teen Vogue! The weekend all started on Friday morning bright and early when we took off from Louisville to New York. This trip, I traveled with my sister and grandparents. Unfortunately, my mom could not join us because she had to be at my sister’s state swim meet (in which she did awesome, I must say). Our adventure in New York started with shopping in SoHo because Friday was really my only free time! We spent the day at some of my favorite spots like Mercer Kitchen, Lululemon, Calypso, Tibi, Joie, Topshop, Bloomingdales, & many more. After a fun filled day in SoHo, we headed to DryBar to get my hair blown out from the New York wind and shopping!! If you haven’t been to a DryBar, I highly recommend it. They have many blowouts to choose from on a menu, there’s a style for everyone! When you walk in, it smells absolutely amazing and the service is spectacular. I want all their products!!
Now that my hair was blown out, I was ready for the opening party at Express in Times Square. Before going in, I must admit I was pretty nervous not knowing anyone but I made friends with another girl walking in who was in the same situation as me. We helped each other get through the whole weekend and had so much fun together! The Express party was wonderfully hosted with snacks and drinks and the coolest photo booth where our videos were turned to flip books!! It was like Vine on paper! At the party, I was so lucky to be able to have the best conversations with Jessica Minkoff, Andrew Bevan, Amy Astley, & many more!! After this, I couldn’t wait for the rest of the weekend.
Saturday & Sunday were amazing as well. I had the wonderful opportunity to hear from and get to know all the editors at Teen Vogue, Michelle Phan (youtuber, blogger, business women, what isn’t Michelle Phan?), Juliana Ribeiro & Brian Philips (from Black Frame), Kristen Joy Watts (from instagram), Aliza Licht (DKNY PR girl), Mickey Rapkin (writer, may know him for his amazing book, Pitch Perfect), Erika Bearman (Oscar De La Renta’s PR girl), Zac Posen (designer), Rebecca Minkoff (designer), & many more!! Not only was it so cool to just be in the new One World Trade Center Condé Nast offices but all the people were so nice and inspirational!! I learned so much and cannot wait to start applying some new things to my blog for new spring posts!! Below are some photos from Saturday & Sunday.
Be looking for new Spring trends coming on the blog!!
Until next time..
xx, g
