Ask and you shall receive..My New York City travel guide is finally here!!
Wow it has been a crazy past couple months of traveling! I am so sorry this post is so overdue but with all the new spring trends, the whole30, and so much content to cover, my posting schedule has been jam packed!
So long story short, last week I got to go to New York for NYFW and had an absolute blast. During this trip I really fell in love with New York City all over again.
As I mentioned in a couple posts on my hair (see here and here) about NYFW, the entire week is beyond busy so practically everything was on the fly! Today I am sharing a round-up of my outfits, my favorite things we did, and some of my favorite spots in New York we did not get to hit this trip due to a packed schedule !
Outfit Day 1:
After five canceled flights, two delays, and a bunch of other mishaps, we finally got to New York for NYFW Day 1!! Since NYC had just gotten a foot of snow, the whole city was frigid! This jacket I purchased from Milly was the perfect statement to keep me stylish and so warm. Shop my outfit HERE!
For the first day, we ate at Sweetgreen (my all-time favorite quick salad shop in NYC and LA!) very quickly between the Jill Stuart Presentation and the ShopStyle Social House!!
The Jill Stuart Presentation was absolutely beautiful. One trend I noticed was there was so much velvet that I was in love with! I cannot wait to strut all of her pieces this fall.
Next, the ShopStyle Social House was an absolute blast! At a beautiful location overlooking the city and Hudson River, I was able to connect with some of my favorite brands and amazing blogger friends. I loved shooting with GiGi New York and working with Parker New York!
Finally for dinner, we again needed something fast before attending our final show of the night so we stopped by another one of my favorites, By Chloe! By Chloe is a fast, adorable, vegan restaurant with a wide variety of options. Anyone will love eating here, vegan or not!! My favorite is their Taco Quinoa Bowl and Baked Sweet Potato Fries.
Day 2:
After an awesome SoulCycle Class (see SoulCycle NYC review HERE) and my hair appointment with Amika (See post HERE), it was off to another busy day of shows and fun!!

For Day 2, I wore an outfit provided for me from ShopStyle and it could not have been cuter!! I am absolutely obsessed with these pants from Parker New York, I wear them all the time with crop tops and fitted bodysuits! This Bomber from French Connection was also perfect to keep me warm from the cold winds and it was water resistant, so it was perfect for the light rain New York was having! Shop the look HERE
Today we went to Brunch at Pennsylvania 6 with all my Style Collective blogging friends!! It was such a fun event to be able to connect with everyone and enjoy ourselves before the shows!!

Then it was off to Verdad! Verdad’s show was absolutely beautiful and honestly one of my favorite shows from the whole week. After Verdad, we headed to Leanne Marshall and that surely did not disappoint either! Leanne Marshall’s pieces are always so stunning, my expectations were already very high but she definitely exceeded them !!

Then after our afternoon shows, we were in need for a midday pick me up so went for some caffeine at Cha Cha Matcha! Cha Cha Matcha is in the heart of Soho and has the same vibe as a coffee shop, however their menu is full of Matcha concoctions instead of coffee! All the hype over this place is totally worth it..I got their classic matcha latte with almond milk and honestly am obsessed. I crave it all the time and now make my own imitation at home !! (comment below if you all would be interested in the recipe! ) Matcha has so many health benefits and is so delicious!
Finally we then decided it was time for a nice, quiet dinner at my mom’s favorite restaurant, Le Bibloquet ! This little french restaurant is sort of hidden in the Upper East Side and isn’t as well known by tourists, but is a totally gem and definitely a favorite of many NYC natives. Their Cajun Chicken is to die for!
Day 3:
Our last full day in NYC already..of course we had to make the most of it!! Today was by far our coldest day. It was so windy, the ground was full of slushy snow after the blizzard followed by freezing rain, and I had no idea what to wear. I had so many outfits planned, but it was just way too cold for any of them ! So I had to get creative. As I always say, when transitioning seasons I always resort to layering and in this case, my layering game was seriously on point. Recently, lace up sweaters have been so on trend and everyone knows how much I love 360cashmere! Their sweaters are so warm, comfortable, and light weight so they are super easy to layer; so I decided to throw on this cozy sweater and wear my leather jacket over it! I still wanted a little more though to experimented with adding my classic black leather vest, and absolutely loved the look! Not to mention how obsessed I am with these new boots from Rag & Bone too thought..they are so warm, durable, and adorable!! I mean for real how could you not love that platform ?! It gives me just the right amount of height but these boots are so comfortable I don’t even notice it is there! Shop the look HERE!
Today, we started out at SoulCycle (of course), before going to brunch at Two Hands NYC!! Two Hands is one of my favorite little cafes in the city, their food is cute (totally instagram worthy), healthy, and so delicious!
Seriously how adorable is my mom…!
Then we tried to walk around and shop..but it was so cold we almost couldn’t stand it!! So as we were walking, we came across the Nomo Soho Hotel and had to stop in..it was just so adorable!!! This boutique hotel was so beautiful, welcoming, and just overall amazing, we had to stay around for a bit. This is definitely a hotel I would love to stay in next time I come to NYC!

Day 4: Airport Style!
Unfortunately, NYFW had to come to an end but luckily I was headed straight to LA for some more fun (& work of course)! This outfit was perfect because it was so comfortable yet still cute and casual for traveling. The jacket I purchased while NYC from Zara so I was so excited to wear it!! When traveling, I also love wearing layers because you never know what the temperature on the plane and often times you are traveling to and from different climates! Shop this outfit HERE!
While this was definitely a short trip to New York and I did not get to go to some of my favorite spots I usually go to when visiting for fun, this trip exceeded my expectations and I cannot wait for my next NYFW in September!! Where are your favorite spots in NYC? Comment below!

Cute outfits. I love the pink coat. I love NYC, but I am so bad – I tend to forget the names of the places I eat because I go so often and always try new places because there’s always so much good food. This is a great guide to return to. π I keep meaning to stop into By Chloe and still haven’t. >.< Thanks for sharing!

Looks like you had a short, but ever so sweet trip to NYFW and thanks for sharing your experience with us! I’m going for NYFWM in July and can’t wait. The problem for me will be the opposite though. NYC in July is like a freaking sauna and to look fab in that weather is… I don’t know what’s worse, a blizzard or a heat wave… Anyway. Too many faves in NYC to start rambling them here, but yes, your mom is adorable π

Your Mum is such a beautiful woman! I see now where you get your looks from. Okay, so I had already noted a couple of these food spots for someday when I get over to NYC but you have added some new ones to my list now. That food looks amazing! Yes please! So brave to get out amongst all that freezing weather! It’d be so foreign to me. It’s been a while since I saw snow. π Loved this post Gracie!

5 cancelled flights?! That is insane. What a blessing you were able to still make it on time for the first day on NYFW. You’re not the only one excited about velvet. I’m all over it π
