New York Blowout Bar Review: Amika Styleblow in Brooklyn

Happy holiday weekend! I hope everyone had a fabulous, fun, and relaxing long weekend. I know at this time of the year we need it! This weekend I was so excited to be back in LA, however, the weather was unfortunately not the best! Looking on the bright side though, nothing could rain on my parade this weekend and I had an absolutely amazing time!

Now going back to NYFW..I am so excited to share with you a new gem I found last week while I was in New York! During Fashion Week, being in a hurry is an understatement. I had heard Fashion Week was always last minute and crazy but I didn’t think it would be that bad..trust me though, it’s true. While I found the excitement a lot of fun, you are always running from place to place. With so many shows and so little time; so many venues and so much traffic; some shows closing their doors 30 minutes early; some shows running 30 minutes late, time management is key.

Long story short, the struggle to be on time is real with all the chaos no matter how organized you think you are. Being in a hurry though is no reason to sacrifice style! I mean it’s New York Fashion Week..obvi you must look your best! That’s why I was so lucky to have worked with Amika Styleblow last week and will no doubt go back every time I am in New York! Amika was so accommodating with making appointments (even though my schedule kept changing and I had to change my appointment several times), they were fast, efficient, kept me on track for my day, and also did my hair far better than I ever could have. The experience could not have been better! With the time I saved not having to do my hair, I was able to catch up on emails, plan my day, and made some amazing friends with the staff!

Hidden in an adorable neighborhood of Brooklyn, Amika is just outside of the city and very easy to get to. It also shows you an area you may have not gone before! Another unique factor I loved about Amika was their menu. Amika‘s hair menu had chic, preppy, trendy, and hip styles I had never seen on a blowout menu before! They captured my style perfectly without making my hair look basic.

Along with their amazing hair services, I am so in love with their products now too!! They smell amazing; make my hair silky, smooth, healthy; and their dry shampoo is clear, clean, and really does make my hair look as if I just showered!!
