Let’s Talk Derby

Derby is approaching!! We are just two short weeks away and Louisville has already begun preparing. As all the derby events roll around, I know everyone is always looking for the perfect outfits. Whether you are going to Derby or not, with all the parties and festivities leading up to the big day everyone has an excuse for something new! This spring I have seen so many pieces I adore and will be going around to the local stores scouting out all the hot pieces, so be on the look out for lots of derby posts coming your way! This week I went by one of my favorite local boutiques, Circe/Swag. I found so many gorgeous pieces I would die to have in my closet from casual shorts and tops to very nice dresses and shoes. Their hat selection is also amazing if you are looking for a headpiece to wear to the track!! They have huge hats to small fascinators in every color that are just stunning. While you may think you will never wear it again, “think again” because I know my mom and I have reused our hats & fascinators time & time again. A nice beautiful headpiece can make an outfit. Below are some of my favorite pieces I picked from Circe / Swag. I love the shoes in every outfit by Pura López . They are simple and go with everything but add a chic touch whether you pair them with dresses, skirts, or even pants! I am also obsessing over two-piece outfits this season because they can be worn so many different ways. Both tops below can be paired with jeans or shorts to dress them down or can be dressed up with a skirt (like shown below) or even pants and heals! These skirts could also be worn again with different tops to have a completely different looks for another event! Their versatility makes them worth the money!
