Well, High School is officially history !! It’s graduation season and things have been beyond crazy..with rehearsals, graduation parties, getting ready for college..I cannot believe how busy I have been ! So therefore I apologize for a little less posts lately, but my school schedule is finally beginning to calm down. I am also so excited to bring a couple new segments out in the next couple weeks that I have been working on for several months! I can’t wait to share it with you.
For as long as I can remember people have said things like “time flies” or “enjoy it while it lasts!”. In the beginning, I always brushed them off but if anything makes you realize the reality of these statements, it’s graduation. I feel like I was a Freshman just yesterday!
While this year (and majority of high school) was spent having a lot of thoughts such as “I can’t wait to move away” or “I can’t wait to be out of high school”, the last couple weeks of school were emotionally hard to say the least. Since I go to a Kindergarten-12th grade school with about 50-6o kids per grade, the kids in my graduating class, as well as the faculty and staff at my school, are family and I can’t imagine next year without them.
Since Louisville is a fairly smaller city, I will miss driving with light traffic majority of the time; I will miss running into someone I know most times I leave my house; I will miss my gym; I will miss my school community where everyone knows just about everything about me and is always there when I need them; and I’ll miss everything about my family (you don’t even want to get me started on that..it’d take a blog post in itself).
Don’t get me wrong though, I am so excited for the opportunities and challenges college will bring (I am even more excited about this than I am sad about leaving), but I can’t deny I will miss high school and my hometown intensely.
Now onto the Graduation FASHION. For basically the past month, I have had graduation parties galore and many days, I have so many I cannot possibly attend them all. For most parties, I have worn more casual dresses with sandals, skirts and a cute top with sandals, and occasionally white jeans with a cute top as well. But truly, anything goes. At most graduation parties I go to, there is a variety of outfits !
The outfit I am sharing with you now is a dress I wore to two graduation parties as well as the actual graduation ceremony for another school. Since I attended the ceremony, I dressed a little nicer but this dress was so cute and I received endless compliments on it! The style is so figure flattering and the color is stunning.

For my actual graduation ceremony, we are required to wear long white dresses at my school rather than caps and gowns. At first, I was slightly annoyed by this since it is pretty difficult to find a reasonably priced long white dress that isn’t a wedding dress, is simple, elegant, and still stands out. However, in the end I adore the Halston Heritage dress I ended up wearing and everyone looked so sleek! This dress fit the criteria perfectly and I am honestly dying to wear it again!

Then for my graduation party, I wore another BCBG dress, similar to the blue one I shared, because who doesn’t love BCBG?! They are one of my favorite places to buy dresses because they are classic, cute, trendy, and very reasonably priced.
