Who’s ready to start talking DERBY?! I know I am !!! Spring time in Louisville is always the best time of the year and a large reason for this is definitely because of Derby! It’s what Louisville is all about! 

This week I am so excited to kick-off my annual Kentucky Derby Fashion series with one of my favorite dresses from Clodhoppers in Louisville and hair from Drybar !

Clodhoppers is definitely one of my favorite Louisville boutiques carrying Milly, Alice & Olivia, Mara Hoffman, Amanda Uprichard, and so much more!! They also carry the most amazing fascinators and hats from a local designer called Headcandi !! Over the years when looking for a Derby headpiece, Headcandi is always the first place I look because of her adorable, diverse styles to fit any dress!

Some of you may recognize one of the models for this collaboration was my sister! The reason I asked my sister to do this collaboration with me is because Derby is definitely a long day..and if you are someone going to the track Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday, you are definitely going to want an outfit you are comfortable in!! While my sister and I have similar style, our style is also very different due to our preferences, hair color, and body structure! What works for me may not work for her, and what works for her may definitely not work for me, and that’s okay! So leading up to Derby we are sharing a wide variety of styles for any girl to choose from so they feel their best on Derby. Today to start things off though we decided to share a dress perfect for anyone !!

This dress is so comfortable, basic, and classic. It’s one of those dresses you are so thankful you have whenever an event comes up and you feel like you have nothing to wear! I love how simple this dress is yet it is so unique and colorful to make a serious statement.
